Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), announced that the The Glass Manufacturing Industry Council (GMIC) has been selected by the US Department of Energy to receive a $3 Million award to fund research of advanced electric melting in glass manufacturing. The research is intended to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help move the nation toward a net-zero economy. The GMIC project was one of 49 selected, totaling $171 Million in federal funding.
Toledo, OH – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) announced that the Williams County Regional Airport Authority is being awarded $264,931 and the Fulton County Board of Commissioners will receive $33,250 in federal Airport Improvement Grant (AIG) funds from the US Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration.

Toledo, Ohio – Today, the Lucas County Board of Commissioners voted to enter into an agreement to move forward with a project that will provide a reliable sanitary sewer system in the unsewered areas of Curtice-Williston. Kaptur’s effort will lower ratepayers’ contribution to the project and reduce sewage discharge into the community and Lake Erie.
