These are booklets that every veteran be able to access. They cover everything from VA health care issues, to educational issues, and service connected disability ratings among other issues. VA Medical Centers of the 9th Congressional District

VA Ann Arbor Medical Center in Michigan and the Lewis Stokes Medical Center, located in Cleveland, are the two major VA medical centers that work to provide medical services to all veterans living in the 9th Congressional District.

Community Based Outpatient Clinics in the 9th Congressional District

VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (also called CBOC's) are smaller medical facilities that have been established in smaller communities so that veterans do not have to travel to the larger medical centers to receive some of their basic medical care.

Vet Centers in 9th Congressional District

The purpose of all the Vet Centers around the nation is to assist three main groups: combat veterans, families that have lost family members in service, and veterans who have had to deal with Military Sexual Trauma.

Veteran Service Commissions within the 9th Congressional District

Each of Ohio's 88 counties has a Veteran Service Commission (VSC) that is charged with assisting veterans with everything from VA claims, to certain financial assistance to assisting with burials, etc. To find out more about how these commission can be of assistance to you, please contact your own county's VSC.

VA Educational Issues

There are many avenues available for veterans, and in some cases their dependents, to obtain assistance from the VA when/if they decide to further their education. However, some of these opportunities do have time limits on them, so a veteran (or dependent) should not wait to long too go back to school.
