Toledo, Ohio – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH-09), joined Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA-11), the Ranking Member of the House Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation, in leading a bipartisan group of lawmakers in writing to the Postal Board of Governors to bring to their attention severe deficiencies in United States Postal Service (USPS) operations that risk the security of the mail and mail facilities and threaten the safety of postal employees and members of the public.

In April 2019, Rep. Kaptur introduced the 21st Century Civilian Conservation Corps Act of 2019, legislation to reestablish and build upon the historic achievements of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).

Washington D.C. -- Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) joined a letter with 18 Members of Congress urging President Donald Trump to publicly support and protect the collective bargaining rights of the Mississippi auto workers. The letter was sent in advance of a closely watched vote to unionize a Nissan manufacturing plant in Canton, Mississippi.

Toledo, Ohio – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) joined the Northwest Ohio Area Office on Aging to celebrate 89 years of Social Security and to voice opposition to efforts to cut benefits and raise the retirement age in exchange for tax breaks for the wealthy. President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act into law 89 years ago today, on August 14, 1935.

WASHINGTON — Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) released the following statement after legislation she championed to invest $20 million to redevelop the Hypersonic Tunnel Facility (HTF) at NASA Glenn Research Center's Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio passed the House floor in the FY2020 Defense Appropriations Bill. The legislation is expected to pass the Senate in the near future.
