The bill seeks to enhance historical, cultural, and recreational sites throughout the Great Lakes region by authorizing federal grants to support state, local, and private investments in conservation and community development.

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), and Tracey Mann (KS-01) reintroduced the bipartisan and bicameral Farmer First Fuel Incentives Act, which would protect American farmers by restricting the eligibility of the 45Z Tax Credit to renewable fuels made only from domestically sourced feedstocks. Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Roger Marshall, MD (R-KS) have introduced an identical companion bill in the United States Senate.

Toledo, Ohio – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee announced that the US Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $1 Million to the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority and Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport in federal investment through its Small Community Air Service Development Program (SCASDP) for a revenue guarantee and associated marketing plan to recruit, initiate, and support new service to a large hub.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), announced a new federal housing infrastructure pilot program to benefit homes across Toledo, Ohio. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), through its joint Healthy Homes and Weatherization Cooperation Demonstration initiative with the Department of Energy (DOE), has awarded the City of Toledo Department of Neighborhoods and NeighborWorks Toledo $1,000,000 to combat residential health and safety hazards in at least 40 households across Toledo.
