Congressional Ukraine Caucus Co-Chairs Kaptur, Fitzpatrick, Quigley Statement On Additional Aid to Ukraine

Washington, DC – Today, Co-Chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Ukraine Caucus, Representatives Marcy Kaptur (D-OH-09), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-01), and Mike Quigley (D-IL-05)  released the following statement on the need to approve President Biden’s request to send additional aid to Ukraine:

“We are at a critical juncture in Ukraine’s war against Russia’s invasion. With each passing day that we fail to send additional military aid, Putin only grows stronger. As Ukraine’s supplies and munitions dwindle, the Russian army becomes more powerful. For nearly two years, the United States and our allies have been united in the effort to defend Ukraine and its people from Putin’s tyranny — now should be no different. Failing to act now would hand Putin a victory and endanger the fate of vulnerable democracies around the world. It is time for Congress to do what is right for Ukraine and for the global order. We must immediately pass supplemental funding to help Ukraine for the next year of fighting.”
