December 20, 2021

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) announced the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded $472,186 in grants to the University of Toledo’s Health Science Campus for new research projects focused on mental health and cancer.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) grant funding will be split between two projects led by University of Toledo (UT) researchers:

“The University of Toledo’s talented scientists and medical professionals work around the clock to advance the innovative research that may one day solve our most challenging health problems,” said Rep. Kaptur. “Federal research dollars play a critical role in unlocking the medical breakthroughs of tomorrow, and I will continue fighting so that our region’s scientists and institutions receive the funding they need to carry on their vital mission.”
