Kaptur Announces Federal Award For Springfield Township Fire Department

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-9) today announced a federal award of $65,601 to the Springfield Township Fire Department in Holland under the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.

"This award will greatly assist the department in its mission to protect lives and property," said Congresswoman Kaptur.

Since 2001, the Department of Homeland Security has awarded $4.6 billion in grants to first-responder organizations to provide much-needed emergency response equipment, personal protection equipment, firefighting and emergency vehicles, and also training under the AFG program.
