From the Wright Brothers, to Astronaut John Glenn, our state has a proud tradition of breaking barriers—from taking flight to going to the stars above,” said Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09). “During my career I have been proud to represent and tirelessly advocate for the NASA’s Glenn Facility in Cleveland and NASA’s Armstrong facility in Sandusky. I am proud to see an award of this magnitude to be awarded to a local company. With contract authority of up to $282 Million, the NASA partnership with Sierra Lobo Inc. comes full circle as the company was founded by former NASA engineering professionals. The Sierra Lobo commitment to advancing science and anchoring spaceflight research right here in northern Ohio will pay dividends for years to come. The path to the cosmos truly runs right through America’s heartland, and I am proud to support these ongoing efforts to reach beyond the stars and to challenge what is possible.”
