Kaptur Applauds Senate Passage of Bipartisan Infrastructure Legislation
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) released the following statement after the Senate overwhelmingly approved a $1 trillion infrastructure bill in a 69-30 vote. The legislation will next be taken up by the House for its consideration.
“I applaud the Senate for its work to advance a bipartisan, once-in-a-generation investment in our nation’s infrastructure,” said Rep. Kaptur. “The American people want action – and they want their elected officials working together to deliver results. The Build Back Better agenda will repair our crumbling roads and bridges, expand our passenger rail system, connect homes and small businesses with high-speed broadband internet, and invest in the electric vehicle technologies that will support good-paying jobs right here in northern Ohio. I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure infrastructure funding gets across the finish line, and that we deliver every last dollar our Great Lakes communities deserve.”
