Kaptur, Quigley, Fitzpatrick Statement on Nomination of Bridget Brink as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine
Washington, D.C. – Today, Representatives Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Mike Quigley (D-IL), and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) – Co-Chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Ukraine Caucus – released the following statement on President Joe Biden’s plan to nominate Ambassador Bridget Brink to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine.
“Bridget Brink’s nomination to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine is enormously welcome news. In the 30-year history of U.S.-Ukraine relations, there has never been a greater need for steady leadership at the helm of America’s diplomatic mission. As Ukraine fights for its future as a sovereign, independent nation, the role of U.S. Ambassador will be critical in the global effort to end Putin’s massacre and restore Ukraine in the post-war era. We urge the Senate to move quickly on Ambassador Brink’s confirmation.”
