Kaptur Statement on House Passage of Lend-Lease Act for Ukraine

Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) – Co-Chair of the bipartisan Congressional Ukraine Caucus – released the following statement on the House passage of S.3522 – the Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act – which will expedite delivery of United States’ weapons systems, ammunition, and other equipment to Ukraine.

“The cause of Liberty around the globe is one to which the United States must be fiercely committed,” said Rep. Kaptur. “Just as President Roosevelt marshalled U.S. arms for our allies during WWII, we must now do the same now to defeat the tyrant seeking to rebuild his fallen empire. The Lend-Lease Act is the tool we need to aid Ukraine and defeat the Russian war machine. Until Putin retreats, we will not give up the fight.”
