Kaptur statement on resolution of dredging lawsuit between U.S. Army Corps and the State of Ohio

Cleveland — Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), released the following statement after news that the State of Ohio and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reached a settlement in the lawsuit regarding the disposal of dredged material at the Port of Cleveland.

"This decision ensures we keep our Lake clean and keep the Port of Cleveland open for business," said Kaptur. "I welcome news that the U.S. Army Corps and the State of Ohio agreed to a resolution regarding disposal of the dredged material from the Port. We can now move on and work together to protect and restore our Great Lakes."
