Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) today issued the following statement regarding the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (DNR) seeking $32,782 in restitution for three separate cases of illegal manure release. According to Ohio DNR, this resulted in more than 66,000 dead fish in the Maumee River.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) announced a $550,000 supplemental U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) award to the Lorain County Board of Commissioners to improve water quality in the Black River Area of Concern on Lake Erie. The funds were made possible through the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI).

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), today cosponsored the Community Health Investment, Modernization and Excellence (CHIME) Act of 2017. This bipartisan legislation extends the Community Health Centers Fund (CHCF) for five years, which supports Community Health Centers across the country and increases funds to ensure responsiveness to demand for care. The current funding expired on September 30, 2017.
