• Tax benefits to corporations should be conditioned on keeping jobs in the United States. She pointed to a tax compromise proposal that she made with Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) to extend the tax cuts for small businesses that might be subject to the top two tax brackets if they certify that they are manufacturing in the U.S., hiring only American citizens, and generally buying domestic content goods and materials.

Congresswoman Kaptur said many of the young people who are processed in the juvenile justice system suffer from mental illness. “We simply haveto do a better job in this community of dealing with juvenile mental illness,” she said.

“We want to get to these young people early, before they are trafficked,and rescue them from surviving couch to couch,” said Rev. Anthony, whose organization administers “Second Chance,” which provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic sex trafficking.

Congresswoman Kaptur said Oberlin College will conduct a comprehensive, district-wide assessment of energy infrastructure and alternative energytransmission under the guidance of the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL).

U.S. Agriculture Secretary Thomas J. Vilsack said production losses in 41 Ohio counties warranted the disaster declaration due to the combined effects of varying periods of excess rain and drought, tornadoes and high winds, flooding, flash flooding, hail and freeze and frost during the period of April 1-August 3. An additional 38 Ohio counties were named contiguous disaster counties.

Possible assistance includes Farm Service Agency emergency loans and Supplemental Revenue Assistance Payments (SURE).

Healthcare.gov has more than 4,400 private plans offered by over 200 insurers, acrossall 50 states and the District of Columbia. The number of plans are expected to increase in the coming months.
