Washington, DC — Today, the House of Representatives passed the 2024 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act as part of a package of six appropriations bills which will fund government operations through September 30th 2024.This legislation will now go on to the United States Senate for passage, before going to President Biden to be signed into law.

Toledo, OH — February 26th, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) joined Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-08) in a letter with other Members of Congress calling on the US Department of Treasury to issue rules for new solar energy tax credits that will support American manufacturing jobs and reduce America’s dependence on the People’s Republic of China for solar components.

Washington, DC – To mark two years since the start of Russia’s unprovoked and illegal invasion of Ukraine the bipartisan Co-Chairs of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), Congressman Mike Quigley (IL-05), and Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) have introduced H.Res. 1014, a resolution commemorating the heroic sacrifices of the Ukrainian people since February 24, 2022, recognizing the terrible cost of Russia’s war of aggression.

Toledo, OH – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) announced that Sierra Lobo Inc. of Fremont, Ohio will receive a major award, worth as much as $282.1 Million, from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Sierra Lobo Inc. is headquartered in Fremont, Ohio in Sandusky County, and their research facility is in Milan, Ohio in Erie County. NASA has selected Sierra Lobo Inc. to support spaceflight hardware design, development, testing, and operations at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.

Toledo, OH – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Ranking Member on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced more than $210 Million for Ohio drinking water and clean water infrastructure upgrades. The funding is part of the more than $50 Billion investment in water infrastructure upgrades from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – the largest such investment in American history.
