Washington, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) released the following statement in honor of the late Toledo Police Officer Anthony Dia, who was tragically killed in the line of duty in the early hours of July 4th, 2020. Rep. Kaptur has asked the Architect of the Capitol to fly the American flag over the U.S. Capitol in Officer Dia's memory. The flag will then be provided to Officer Dia's family. The following statement will be entered into the Congressional Record.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies, released the following statement after the Subcommittee approved by voice vote its fiscal year 2021 bill. For fiscal year 2021, the legislation invests $49.6 billion in Energy and Water Development programs, an increase of $1.26 billion, or 3 percent, above the fiscal year 2020 enacted level.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the House Appropriations Committee and Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Chairwoman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies, released the draft fiscal year 2021 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies funding bill, which will be considered in subcommittee tomorrow. The legislation funds the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of the Interior programs, the Department of Energy, and other related agencies.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), sent the following letter to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof, and Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder urging them to immediately pass legislation releasing the remaining $900 million provided to Ohio by the federal government to aid in the State's coronavirus response.
