Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), today cosponsored the Community Health Investment, Modernization and Excellence (CHIME) Act of 2017. This bipartisan legislation extends the Community Health Centers Fund (CHCF) for five years, which supports Community Health Centers across the country and increases funds to ensure responsiveness to demand for care. The current funding expired on September 30, 2017.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), today joined Ranking Member of the Financial Services Committee, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), to introduce the Megabanks Accountability and Consequences Act. The bill empowers the federal banking oversight bodies to wind down megabanks that have engaged in repeated violations of the law and harmed consumers.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) today, announced $778,352 Economic Development Administration award to the Ohio Aerospace Institute. This award will help establish a partnership with other funds going to partners in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to focus on developing innovative, new technology in aerospace and water resources.
