Washington, D.C. -- Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), signed as an original cosponsor of the Medicare Hearing Aid Coverage Act of 2017, H.R. 3426. The bill would expand Medicare coverage to include hearing aids. Hearing loss is the third most prevalent chronic condition in the United States, but the majority of seniors who need hearing aids are not able to afford them. Medicare does not currently cover hearing aids, which can cost upwards of $3,000.
