Kaptur Statement On Air Crash Over Northern Virginia

Toledo, OH – Tonight, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH-09) released the following statement, on the news of an air crash over Northern Virginia:

“My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those military service members, and air passengers lost in a tragic air crash over Virginia tonight. Search and rescue operations are underway but it is too soon to know the cause. I will work to gain answers in the days ahead."

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) released the following statement upon news that a hostage release and ceasefire agreement had been agreed to between Israel and Hamas.

“On January 15th, negotiators for Hamas and Israel reached a ceasefire agreement to bring peace to Gaza for the first time since 2023. Today Israel voted to officially proceed with the agreement which begins with a 6-week ceasefire to take effect on Sunday, January 19th.
