While House Democrats ended their sit-in aimed at forcing votes on gun control issues Thursday afternoon, they vow that they will continue pressing the issue after they return.
Meanwhile, the Senate still faces pressure on the gun issue — particularly after a last-minute “test” vote Thursday on a measure that would ban those on the no-fly list from buying guns.

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-Ohio) recently joined nearly 200 of her Democratic House colleagues, including Congressman John Lewis (D-Georgia), and Ohio’s Congresswomen Marcia Fudge and Joyce Beatty, in a historic ‘sit-in’ of the House of Representatives to demonstrate on behalf of a debate and vote on reasonable gun control measures.
"I am proud to join with fellow Democrats to say 'enough is enough,' said Kaptur on Thursday.

U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky and U.S. Sens. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and John McCain today, introduced legislation to help lower prices of life-saving drugs and save taxpayers billions of dollars over the next 10 years. The Price Relief, Innovation and Competition for Essential Drugs (PRICED) Act would foster competition and provide opportunity for more biologics to enter the marketplace and drive down costs.
