Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy & Water, and Congressman Brendan Boyle (PA-02) Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee announced a $2,036,112 United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Grant through the Fertilizer Production Expansion Program (FPEP) for EnviroKure of Hicksville, Ohio in Defiance County, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in Philadelphia County.
Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) and Congressman John Carter (TX-31) introduced the bipartisan Last Servicemember Standing Medal Act which will establish the new Last Servicemember Standing Medal for military service. Washington, DC – Today Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) and Congressman John James (MI-10) introduced a bipartisan bill, The IMPROVE (Incentivize Motivated Parents with Responsible Options for Vital Education) Safety for Schools Act, which creates a nonrefundable tax credit of $300 to incentivize parents/guardians to purchase firearm safety devices including a gun safe, storage item, or gun lock to improve gun safety at home.
Washington, DC — On Tuesday June 4th, Representatives Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (FL-20), Shontel Brown (OH-11), and Timothy Kennedy (NY-26), held a press conference in recognition of National CPR and AED Awareness Week and the need to expand access to AEDs nationwide to save lives. National CPR and AED Awareness Week is recognized every year from June 1st through June 7th. The Members called on Speaker Mike Johnson to bring the HEARTS Act of 2024 to the floor for an immediate vote.
