Toledo, OH — Today, as Northwest Ohio kicks off Watershed Weekend and the start of summer and the heart of boating season approaches, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development announced $17,613,000 in Federal funding has been allocated by the US Army Corps of Engineers for dredging and critical jetty repairs at five federally maintained harbors in Ohio’s 9th Congressional District.
Washington, DC — Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) announced that the University of Toledo’s Health Science Campus will be receiving a federal grant from the Department of Health and Human Services’ National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. This $419,701 funding award will support further research into the GLT-1 protein, which shows promise of combatting alcohol addiction.
