Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), a Senior Member of the House Appropriations Committee announced a $3.971 million grant award to the State of Ohio, from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, to expand the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program Ohio. The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is a federally funded program that aims to lower food insecurity among seniors and support local agricultural producers. USDA awarded $50 million total in American Rescue Plan Act grant awards to 47 states.

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) and Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (MI-12), released the following statement after they reintroduced the Restoring Communities Left Behind Act. The legislation would make $5 billion available to local communities through a grant program administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development to fund neighborhood revitalization activities including homeowner rehabilitation assistance, weatherization, improved housing accessibility for seniors and people with disabilities, housing counseling, refinancing, property tax relief, and more.

Fulton County Site Will Produce Enough Solar Energy to Power 20,000 homes
