WASHINGTON — Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) released the following statement announcing the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has awarded two grants to the State of Ohio totaling $5,134,000 for renovations at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio. The first award includes $1,473,647 in federal assistance to renovate windows at the Ohio Veterans Home, which will help with the weatherization of the facility.

Washington, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), introduced the bipartisan Coast Guard Youth STEM Programs Expansion Act, to grant the Coast Guard expanded authority to partner with the Department of Education and the Department of Defense to improve STEM exposure for America's elementary and secondary school students and their teachers. Rep. Kaptur introduced the legislation on a bipartisan basis with Congressman Don Young (AK-At-Large).

I rise today to commemorate the historic 75th anniversary of D-Day – June 6, 1944 – the heroic, Allied invasion of Europe at Normandy, France.
