Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy & Water, announced that the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), through its National Coastal Resilience Fund, has awarded The Junction Coalition a $608,000 grant to plan and implement wetland conservation and floodplain reconnection within a vital wildlife corridor in the heart of Toledo. The funding is made possible through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law which Kaptur helped to pass in 2022. The Junction Coalition is one of three organizations in Ohio to receive this grant through a highly competitive process.

Toledo, OH — Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), the longest serving woman in the history of Congress and former White House Urban Planning Policy Advisor to President Jimmy Carter, released the following statement on the passing of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter: 

“Rosalynn Carter—beloved spouse of President Jimmy Carter and mother to their family and our nation—has blessed our Republic for over 3/4 of a century. Her perpetual kindness, wisdom, faithfulness to family, community, and country are legendary. Her patriotism had no bounds.

Washington, DC — Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) a senior member of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee released the following statement following a call with Jordanian Ambassador to the United States Dina Kawar. During their conversation Congresswoman Kaptur and Ambassador Kawar stressed their shared prioritization of securing a durable peace in the conflict centered around a two-state solution. This follows Congresswoman Kaptur speaking on November 3rd with Egyptian Ambassador Motaz Zahran.
