Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) announced a $2,516,500 National Park Service grant award to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) for the replacement of the Maumee Bay State Park boardwalk trail in Lucas County. The 2.4-mile ADA accessible trail traverses the wetlands of Maumee Bay State Park, and is open to the public year-round. The grant will provide 50 percent of the funding for ODNR's costs related to the design, engineering, permitting, and construction of a .7-mile section of the trail.
