Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) gave the following remarks on the House floor following passage of two bills, one that would codify a tentative agreement between railroads and railroad workers, and another that would amend the tentative agreement to provide railroad workers seven days of paid sick leave annually. Both bills will now be sent to the Senate for consideration.

Toledo, OH — Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) on Friday entered into the Congressional Record the following commendation for thousands of Northern Ohio workers, including nearly 3,000 at FCA Toledo Jeep, who will return to work at facilities across Northern Ohio on Monday, May 18, 2020 following a prolonged shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Washington, DC – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development, announced that the City of Sandusky has been awarded $600,000 from the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) initiative. This award will advance Sandusky’s efforts to create safer, more navigable streets through a comprehensive approach.
