Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) announced $86,960,502 in federal funding for safety net hospitals across Northern Ohio as a result of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) passed by Congress. The funding is being administered by the Department of Health and Human Services, which is distributing $10 billion in Provider Relief Funds to safety net hospitals across the country that serve our most vulnerable citizens.

Kaptur and Gibbs are joined by 40 colleagues introducing The COVID-19 Hospital Forgiveness Act, which forgives loans made to hospitals and healthcare providers through the Medicare Accelerated and Advance Payments program.
