Northeast Ohio politicians are mourning the death of murdered Polish mayor Paweł Adamowicz, who was stabbed at a charity concert on Sunday. Adamowicz was mayor of Gdansk, a sister city to Cleveland.

U.S. Representative Marcy Kaptur, an Ohio Democrat who is co-chairwoman of the congressional Poland Caucus, called on Tuesday for a thorough investigation into the murder of Gdańsk Mayor Paweł Adamowicz. In a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives, Kaptur expressed condolences and noted that Gdańsk is a longtime sister city of Cleveland in her home state.
