Washington, D.C. – Today, Representatives Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Gregory Meeks (D-NY), Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) led a letter to Secretary Pompeo urging the Trump Administration to condemn the violence being carried out by the Belarusian government against its own people following a fraudulent election and to put in place sanctions against those perpetuating the human rights violations. The letter shows robust bipartisan support in the U.S.

Washington, D.C. – The bipartisan Senate and House Great Lakes Task Forces today requested that tribal, commercial, charter and recreational fisheries in the Great Lakes be made eligible for future emergency funding provided by Congress because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The letter was led by Senators Debbie Stabenow (MI) and Rob Portman (OH), and Representatives Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Debbie Dingell (MI-12), David Joyce (OH-14), and Bill Huizenga (MI-02).

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), released the following statement after the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced Cleveland will be the recipient of a new Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committee focused exclusively on urban agriculture. County committees have enabled farmer input on the delivery of FSA programs since the 1930s, and these new committees are part of USDA's efforts to better support urban agriculture.
