Washington, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Chairwoman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development, released the following statement after the fiscal year 2021 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies funding bill, legislation she introduced and championed through the Appropriations Committee, passed the U.S. House of Representatives. The Energy and Water Development bill funds the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of the Interior programs, the Department of Energy, and other related agencies.

In the CARES Act passed earlier this year, Congress provided $10 billion in financing to help USPS and its customers get through the coronavirus pandemic, yet the funds are currently being held hostage by President Trump's Treasury Department.
