Toledo, Ohio – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH-09), joined Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA-11), the Ranking Member of the House Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation, in leading a bipartisan group of lawmakers in writing to the Postal Board of Governors to bring to their attention severe deficiencies in United States Postal Service (USPS) operations that risk the security of the mail and mail facilities and threaten the safety of postal employees and members of the public.

Toledo, OH – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), announced two significant federal awards from the Department of Justice (DOJ) to the City of Toledo and the Lucas County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council to enhance local efforts aimed at combating youth violence and improving criminal justice outcomes. Together, these DOJ awards, totaling nearly $1.7 Million, will bolster community-based initiatives to make Northwest Ohio safer, more resilient, and more equitable.

Toledo, Ohio — Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) Dean of the Ohio Congressional Delegation joined Congressman Mike Rulli (OH-06) in leading 7 bipartisan members of the Ohio Congressional Delegation in a letter to United States Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack requesting the expansion of Conservative Reserve Program (CRP) acres eligible for emergency haying and grazing measures. Ohio is currently facing the worst drought on record since the early 1930's, with natural disaster declarations in place for 28 of Ohio's 88 counties.

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Ohio is just the most recent state to take measures to bring the harmful algal blooms back to safe levels ahead of the summer season.
