Washington, DC — Today, the Co-Chairs of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus — Representatives Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), Mike Quigley (IL-05), Joe Wilson and (SC-02) introduced sweeping sanctions targeting Russia and any nation or actor complicit in sustaining its brutal war of aggression against Ukraine. Companion legislation was introduced in the Senate by Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Lindsay Graham (R-SC), and a group of 48 bipartisan Senators.

The US House of Representatives Appropriations Committee yesterday (9 June) approved the FY2107 Financial Services Bill, and also adopted an amendment which calls for the restoration of mail delivery standards to the 1 July 2012 level.
The amendment, which came from the Ohio Representative Marcy Kaptur, was adopted on a 30-17 voice vote.
If enacted, the legislation would cancel the reduced service standards which the US Postal Service (USPS) introduced in January 2015.

For the longest-serving woman in the House of Representatives, who also happens to be a Democrat, Hillary Clinton’s historic moment on Tuesday night was not exactly an unalloyed joy.
That’s because Rep. Marcy Kaptur , of Ohio, was an ardent supporter of Bernie Sanders – and still is.
So how did she feel, watching a woman in her party become the first female to secure any major party’s presidential nomination – while also watching her chosen candidate fall short?
