December 14, 2023

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), voted to pass H.R. 2670, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2024 which continues to invest in the core of our national defense: service members, civilian workers, and their families; allies and partners; innovation and technology; our domestic industrial base; and military readiness. The bill authorizes $874.2 Billion in discretionary defense spending and is expected to now be signed into law by President Biden. 


December 20, 2024

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) a senior Member of the House Appropriations Committee voted to pass the American Relief Act, 2025, to avert a shutdown of the federal government and extend assistance to Ohio farmers, producers, and growers after a season with severe drought conditions and crop loss. The bill passed the House by a vote of 366 to 34, and will now move to the Senate for passage, before heading to the President’s desk to be signed into law.

Oregon, OH — Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) was joined by University of Toledo President, Dr. Gregory Postel, and CEO of TESCO (Transportation Equipment Sales Corporation) Bud Graham for a news conference and ribbon cutting to unveil and roll-out a new mobile medical clinic in partnership with the University of Toledo Medical Center. The mobile medical unit was secured through $500,000 in federal funding secured by Congresswoman Kaptur in FY2022 Community Project Funding.

Washington, DC  –  Tuesday, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) and her colleagues on the bipartisan Great Lakes Task Force introduced the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) Act of 2024. This bipartisan legislation will reauthorize the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, which is set to expire at the end of FY 2026, for another five years through FY 2031. The bill increases the current authorization level from $475 Million to $500 Million in FY 2026.
