Washington, DC – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, joined US Helsinki Commission Chairman Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02), Helsinki Commission Ranking Member Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), and Ukraine Caucus Co-Chairs Congressman Mike Quigley (IL-05), and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), and Ukraine Caucus member Congressman Don Bacon (NE--02) in introducing  H.R. 8433 the Countering Russia’s War On Faith Act. Companion legislation was introduced in the Senate by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Ranking Member of the US Helsinki Commission, and Senator John Kennedy (R-LA).

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) joined Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) and 13 of their colleagues in a letter demanding Speaker Mike Johnson and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries work in a bipartisan manner to direct the Ethics Committee to expedite their investigations into alleged misconduct by Members of Congress, with a call for prompt action.

“President Trump launched his war against Iran promising to liberate its 93 million people from a tyrannical regime. Today, he threatened to annihilate them. Washington, DC — Tonight, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee urged House Speaker Mike Johnson to bring the bill to fully fund the Transportation Security Administration, Federal Emergency Management Agency, the United States Coast Guard, and US Cyber Defense before the House for a vote. Calling temporary funding measures a “disservice” to American taxpayers, Kaptur urged the Speaker to bring H.R. 7041, a bill she has co-sponsored to fully fund these agencies to the House Floor, and then allow Congress to continue negotiations to restore confidence in ICE and CBP as the American people have consistently and overwhelmingly demanded.

Washington, DC – Today, Co-Chairs of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus—Representatives Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), Mike Quigley (IL-05), and Joe Wilson (SC-02)—along with Ukraine Caucus Member Representative Greg Landsman (OH-01), issued the following statement in response to a new report from the Yale School of Public Health’s Humanitarian Research Lab (Yale HRL), which links Russian energy giants Gazprom and Rosneft  to Russia’s illegal and systemic kidnapping, detention, indoctrination, and militarization of Ukrainian children. The report comes amid recent efforts by the Administration to ease oil sanctions on these same Russian entities.
