Washington, D.C. — Today, the bipartisan House Great Lakes Task Force Co-Chairs Representatives Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Debbie Dingell (D-MI), David Joyce (R-OH), and Bill Huizenga (R-MI), along with Bill Foster (D-IL) and Jack Bergman (R-MI), led a group of 32 Members of Congress in sending a bipartisan letter to Office of Budget and Management (OMB) Acting Director Shalanda Young and Acting Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works Jaime A. Pinkham outlining the Task Force's budget priorities for the Great Lakes region in FY2022.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), alongside U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), and U. S. Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) called on Congress to implement postal banking pilot programs in rural and urban communities across the country as part of the Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22) Senate and House Financial Services and General Government Appropriations (FSGG) Appropriations Bill and eventual final conference agreement. The lawmakers also pushed for $6 million in funding for USPS in FY22 to carry out the pilot programs to expand non-bank financial services offerings.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), announced a new federal housing infrastructure pilot program to benefit homes across Toledo, Ohio. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), through its joint Healthy Homes and Weatherization Cooperation Demonstration initiative with the Department of Energy (DOE), has awarded the City of Toledo Department of Neighborhoods and NeighborWorks Toledo $1,000,000 to combat residential health and safety hazards in at least 40 households across Toledo.

This new office will help strengthen America's manufacturing industry and workforce and improve global competitiveness following the coronavirus pandemic.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), released the following statement announcing that Neighborhood Health Care Inc. in Cleveland and the Erie County Community Health Center will be invited to join the Health Center COVID-19 Vaccine Program over the next six weeks. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) launched this program to directly allocate COVID-19 vaccine to HRSA-supported health centers to ensure that our nation's underserved communities and those disproportionately affected by COVID-19 are equitably vaccinated.
