Toledo, OH – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Ranking Member on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced more than $210 Million for Ohio drinking water and clean water infrastructure upgrades. The funding is part of the more than $50 Billion investment in water infrastructure upgrades from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – the largest such investment in American history. Today’s announcement will support essential water infrastructure that protects public health and treasured water bodies across the Buckeye State.

The Erie County Health Department is seeking $240,000 to open up a water laboratory in Sandusky to provide fast testing for water samples taken in Lake Erie and other local water sources.
