Washington, DC – Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development, announced the Department of Energy has awarded $16.1 Million to the Toledo area to spur jobs and solar energy innovation. Toledo Solar and First Solar will receive funding to advance their pathbreaking work on solar technology.

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) released the following statement after she reintroduced the Return to Prudent Banking Act. The Return to Prudent Banking Act of 2023 would re-instate essential provisions of the Glass-Steagall Act, or the Banking Act of 1933, which had provided an unprecedented half-century of economic stability. In 1999, Congress repealed the Glass-Steagall Act.

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) announced a $400,000 matching grant award to the Toledo Museum of Art. This infrastructure and capacity building grant awarded to the Toledo Museum of Art is one of 258 projects selected nationwide by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to generate private support for local humanities projects.
