Toledo, OH — Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) joined Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) CEO Laura Koprowski to announce more than $9 Million in funding through the Low or No Emission Vehicle and Grants for Buses & Bus Facilities Programs.

Toledo, OH – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) announced a $7 Million federal award to the University of Toledo Health Science Campus. This National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) award will directly support and enhance research, help retain nationally-recognized faculty, and aid in ongoing efforts to recruit the best and brightest talent to The University of Toledo.

Toledo, OH — Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) Founder and Co-Chair of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus released the following statement following developments in Russia and Ukraine resulting in the apparent exile of Russian mercenary Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.

“The western Alliance and our NATO allies must remain united and resolute in our strong support of Ukraine until she is victorious. Events inside Russia appear to show continuing strife among its military leaders related to executing its unprovoked war against Ukraine.

Washington, DC — During today’s House Appropriations Committee markup of the 2024 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies funding bill, Democrats spoke out against harmful provisions that increase energy costs, fail to diversify energy production and storage, yield leadership of the global energy future to China, ignore the scientific consensus on climate change, and increase our dependence on foreign energy. House Democrats were united in their opposition, voting unanimously against the bill.

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) announced the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) will award $20 Million to the City of Toledo to assist the city’s “Connecting Toledo Neighborhoods to Opportunity” initiative. The project as proposed will redevelop connections between downtown neighborhoods in Toledo and the nearby Junction neighborhood with a protected sidewalk across the Dorr Street overpass of Interstate 75 and a new 10-foot-wide multi-use path that will extend approximately 0.75 miles from the downtown area into the Junction neighborhood.
