Toledo, OH – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) announced that Sierra Lobo Inc. of Fremont, Ohio will receive a major award, worth as much as $282.1 Million, from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Sierra Lobo Inc. is headquartered in Fremont, Ohio in Sandusky County, and their research facility is in Milan, Ohio in Erie County. NASA has selected Sierra Lobo Inc. to support spaceflight hardware design, development, testing, and operations at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) announced the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded $13,833,483 in Covid-19 response funding to the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority from President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan. Last year, Rep. Kaptur joined nearly every House Democrat to pass the American Rescue Plan, while Republicans were unanimous in their opposition.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur announced $18,870,900 for the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) as a result of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, or CARES Act, passed last month by Congress. Included in the legislation was $25 billion to support transit agencies and their workers. Transit agencies across the U.S. have all seen a dramatic drop in revenues as social distancing has been implemented nationally.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) announced $7,968,944 in federal funding has been awarded to the Cleveland Division of Police by the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) through its COPS Hiring Program (CHP) and Operation Relentless Pursuit. The funding will enable the Cleveland Division of Police to deploy sworn veteran officers to important task force duties and use the CHP funding to hire new recruits to back-fill those positions.
