Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Co-Chair of the bipartisan House Great Lakes Task Force, released the following statement after the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee passed a nearly $60 billion reconciliation bill that included her request for $350 million in funding for a state-of-the-art Great Lakes heavy icebreaker for the U.S. Coast Guard. The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee's bill will now be taken up by the full House for its consideration as part of President Biden's $3.5 trillion reconciliation proposal.
